The band, which is fronted by two talented and energetic singers, makes the most of ear-pleasing harmonies and blends up-tempo country music with a dash of rock. Over the last year the band has played many venues including at the Taste of Chicago's Country Music Festival held in Grant Park. This month Yard Fulla Cars celebrates its 3rd Year Anniversary we would like to thank all of our loyal fans and friends who have supported us and encouraged us with your attendance and your enthusiasm at our performances. As our following and our fan base grows, we feel more and more appreciative of those who enjoy our music and our enthusiasm for doing what we love to do.
This summer has been a very busy summer for Yard Fulla Cars and we are enjoying every minute of it.
One of the most exciting things to happen this summer has been the development of our very own Katie Quick who with Krissi Woods, form a dynamic vocal duo chock full of energy and talent. Katie has been prolific in her song-writing for the past year and she has opened up for a Grammy-nominated artist, she has been featured on WGN Radio and the Great American Country Music Television Channel. She was written up in the Chicago Sun-Times (7/29/08), she made her way to the semi-finals of Nashville Star, she won the US 99.5 Talent Competition and she found time to release her very first solo CD. She also has been a powerful partner onstage with Krissi and together they provide enough energy to power the City of Chicago for an entire day!
Our band is now performing two of Katie's originals at every show and we intend to perform more of them in the future plus write some of our own Yard Fulla Cars originals in the coming year.
For those who are interested we now have very nice Yard Fulla Cars tee shirts available both online and for sale at our performances. In addition, Katie has copies of her CD for sale at our performances and we even have temporary YFC tattoos available at every performance. You can show your support by placing us on your forehead, your arms, anywhere you can apply a tattoo, you will be supporting YFC.
